Yes, we are parents. Alli gave birth to our daughter, Cami Elizabeth Schaack on November 1 at 10:01 a.m. It was a long process as she was induced around 9:30 a.m. on October 31. She was 9 pounds 2.4 ounces and was 21 inches long. We are grateful she and mom are healthy. We are home now and excited to be out of the hospital. We love the dark hair she has.

Here is one happy momma. Alli is a tough woman to go through 24 hours of labor.

Cami is finally home. I think she is going to love riding in the car because when we left the hospital she was crying but the moment we started driving she fell asleep.

Here Grandma Meik is giving Cami her first bath since being home.

Alli, 24 hours of labor is the pits! I was in labor 32 hours and I just didn't know if I had the energy at the end to push her out. You are amazing! Way to go Mama Schaack! Congrats on the new baby girl. She's adorable!

Congratulations! She is such a beauty. What a head of hair and beautiful coloring. I didn't get her gift mailed today but I will send it tomorrow. Kent and I had fun shopping for it -- okay, I had fun and he tagged along. We are so excited for you. Luv, Aunt Barb

Yeah! Congrats! Such a neat feeling to have a new baby in the home. Your life will never be the same! We're jealous of the beautiful, dark hair! What a cutie! I was going to comment on Alyssa's blog about Cami, but I saw you have a blog too, so I went straight to the source. Best of luck to you! - Marian Kanet

Congrats! Wow, Alli you are a trooper, my 24 hours of labor turned into a C-section. Way to go Steve--I heard about the 2nd opinion! We wish you the best!

Congratulations on beautiful Cami!!
I am so glad that things went well and that everyone is home! I understand about the long labors...mine have been 24, 21, and 13 hours. It's worth it once that baby is out!! I am so happy for you guys!

We are again SO happy for you guys and can't wait to see you all! I am sure you are glad to be home and get settled into "normal" life. (if you can call getting/ staying up all night with a new baby normal. :) No wonder you forgot the diaper bag-its amazing how one can even function at all with no sleep). Cami is so cute though--we love her to pieces already and can't wait to hold and snuggle her!
